Product Introduction
This stainless steel sculpture is built around the visual language of a molecular model: spheres linked by straight members to suggest a three-dimensional network. The open structure lets the architecture behind it remain visible, while the reflective nodes capture fragments of sky, building, and passing movement. Seen head-on it reads as a globe; from the side, the many crossing lines create a more layered and changing pattern. It is a distinctive concept for a science-oriented campus, contemporary entrance, or open courtyard. The design is molecular in character, not a verified model of a particular molecule.
How we would plan the metalwork
For a structure with many repeated nodes, consistency is part of the artwork. The factory drawing would first establish the overall geometry, the position of each connection, and the viewing directions that matter most. We would then review how the rods meet the spheres, where support can be placed without crowding the open center, and how the surface finish should read across all elements.
At a large scale, a project-specific engineering review must address connection design, fabrication tolerances, transport segments, anchoring, and site loads; an image is not enough to certify a build method. The goal is to preserve the visual concept’s lightness while planning a realistic route from drawing to installation.
